SmartObjects are entities that can be reused in workflows and reports. SmartObjects can be created  in the following designers:

• Creating SmartObjects in K2 Studio
• Creating SmartObjects in K2 Designer for Visual Studio

Entities in a workflow can be created into SmartObjects.

• Creating a Workflow SmartObject
• Creating a Workflow Report SmartObject

SmartObjects can be created from other sources such as CRM and SQL

• Creating SmartObjects using SharePoint Site Lists and Libraries
• Creating a CRM SmartObject
• Creating a SQL SmartObject
